You will rarely find a recipe on this blog for several reasons:
a) I’m not exactly a stellar cook
b) There are so many amazing recipe blogs, it is easy to find wonderful recipes!
BUT one dish I have mastered is Tacos. I know.. I know… everyone can make Tacos, but I have a delicious recipe for your Taco leftovers!
I got this recipe from a college friend (hi, Staci!).
Taco Ring
Ingredients:
2 cans crescent rolls
1 lb ground beef (or turkey, etc)
Taco seasoning
1 cup shredded cheese
Directions:
Lay the crescent rolls in a circle, wide end toward the center on a round pan, flattening out to make smooth as you go.
Brown the meat, drain the fat and add seasoning plus a little water. Simmer until water is gone.
Add cheese to meat, and place on top of the crescents.
Pull the edges of the crescents over and pinch to close the ring.
Bake at 350 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes or until brown.
Garnish as desired with sour cream, salsa, etc.
This is really quick and easy (hello! If I can make it… YOU can make it.) And I like using taco meat I’ve frozen the last time I made tacos to make it even easier.
