I decided to keep Miles’ Birthday party really low key this year for the following reasons:
1. I’m really lazy.
2. I’m really lazy.
In fact, my mother-in-law ordered the cakes and bought the decorations to boot.
Yes, I know. I do deserve a Mother of the Year award.
Anyway, we were joined on Saturday night by some family and a few close friends to celebrate this little fella:

He (and by that I mean I) opened lots of wonderful presents.

My best friend from elementary school, Sarah, her mom, Claudia (she’s been my hairdresser as long as I can remember), her nephew, Colton, and her daugher, Addie.
Addie really liked Miles new toy train. She kept giving him hugs as a ruse to push him off so she could have a turn. Isn’t she a doll?
Don’t try to look so innocent, Addie-girl, we are on to you. On. To. You.
The cake was not exactly Miles’ favorite part. Here’s me giving him a taste.
He’s pretty skeptical.
The “get me out of here!”
A big “thank you” to everyone who came to our little shindig and to everyone who wished our boy a Happy Birthday around these parts too. We are truly blessed.
